Since 2005 Paulo De Carvalho has been the senior audio mixer and composer at The Kitchen TV - an Emmy Award winner, leading digital language company in the US where he mixes audio including effects, ambiance, music, and voices in foreign languages for films, such as The Intouchables, ABC’s of Death 2, Anna Karenina, Emelie, and The Last King, - and TV Shows for BBC, Discovery, Fox Latam, France TV, Showtime, E!Entertainment, HBO, MTV, and others.
Nominated five years in a row as Best Brazilian Musician in the U.S. at the Brazil/US International Press Award (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 editions), as a Brazilian Jazz guitar player, Paulo has received the Cultural Merit Award from the magazine Acontece(2007, 2009, and 2010).
He has just published the first guitar transcriptions ever written from the solo career of the legendary English guitarist Steve Hackett from the band Genesis. He had directly worked with Steve in England and in the U.S. for about four years to complete the songbook, having received internationally acclaimed reviews.
